Aug. 1st 2009 Floated a remote river with friends. My subsistance moose hunt was on. When I hunt it's more of a fishing trip with a clause in there for hnting, just in case something walks out in frount of me and poses. Anyway the fishing was great and a young bull walked out to the river and ended up in the freezer.

Ice Action

Today we played hookie from work and went to a secret pike lake. Jimmy flew in and Brandy, Ross, Jacob and I took the snow machines in on a trail that was less then adiquate. But it was all worth while because of the nicest day of the century and fishing was great. The scenary was also very good, even for Alaska. I love it here and I love Alaska. Why would you want to be anywhere else?

Jeff's trip north

In September our son Jeff came up from Mn. for some bird and fowl hunting. He wanted to stay but we sent him back. Alaska isn't for everybody, no city slickers allowed!
We fished the upper Tangles, Clearwater and some local lakes I'd rather not metion. We shot lots of ducks and had a hay day with the Ptarmigan. We bent the fly rods on silers and grayling, all in all a great time was had by all, we fished and hunted every day for two weeks and I still got excited every morning. Can't wait till next year.

PhishinAk

In 2006 I came to Alaska to cycle from Prudhoe Bay to Haines. I got hooked on the place, people and most of all the flyfishing. I decided to stay. My wife wasn't too happy but followed (eight months later)

We've now been here a couple years and are planning to stay forever.
